FEARS Anthology

We make something haunting. And worth talking about.

First started as a class in UNCW’s undergraduate program in Wilmington, NC, FEARS Anthology was made to reflect the horrors in the world today. Using societal commentary, students (across 16 weeks in a semester) work in small groups to write, produce, direct, edit, and distribute their original work. Since 2024, the program has shifted to UNCC’s campus in Charlotte, NC. Annually, a new season is released and students challenge audiences with innovative, sometimes shocking, creative marketing. A one-night-only screening is set up on campus where students introduce the film and, later, answer questions related to the project. Students from this program have gone on to showcase their work in film festivals nationwide, winning awards and rubbing elbows with industry professionals.

It’s a spooky-good time and we have no intention of stopping, even if the subject matter is a tough pill to swallow.
